Frequently Asked Questions
"How does the Ayurvedic part work during the actual birth?"
During labor, we focus on grounding Vata through rhythmic counter-pressure on specific Marma points, using warm oil massages, and encouraging positions that promote downward energy (Apana Vayu) for a more effective and peaceful labor.
"I'm not religious. How will you incorporate the Christian part?"
My faith informs how I serve—with compassion and non-judgment. All spiritual support, including prayer, is completely optional and only offered if you request it. My primary focus is on providing high-quality, holistic, evidence-based physical and emotional support.
"What kind of evidence do you use alongside the ancient practices?"
My support is dual-layered. The Ayurvedic portion provides a personalized lifestyle blueprint, but all my labor support is rooted in current, evidence-based practices for physiology and comfort, which is what I teach in my childbirth education sessions.
"My previous breastfeeding journey was hard. How do you help with that?"
I address breastfeeding from two angles: clinical mechanics (latch, positioning, supply assessment) and Ayurvedic restoration. We will focus heavily on the first 42 days, ensuring you consume warm, easy-to-digest foods to properly build the Rasa Dhatu (milk tissue) and keep your system warm and rested, which is key to a smooth let-down.
"What is the most important thing you do postpartum?"
My most critical role postpartum is helping the family establish the 'Sacred Window' of rest and nourishment. This means ensuring you receive warm, prepared foods, mandatory rest, and emotional support to prevent Vata depletion and protect your mental and physical recovery.
